The Indian Harbor Sailing Foundation
The Indian Harbor Sailing Foundation, an independent not-for-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer-led organization, was established in 2001 to support youth sailing.
Through the generous support of Indian Harbor Yacht Club members and others, the Foundation has funded grants to help purchase equipment and safety gear by various sailing organizations, the local high school sailing team and Sea Scout Ship1.
Why Promote Youth Sailing?
Teaching youth sailing helps provide individuals with the skills they need to advance through life. Sailing fosters:

Foundation Goals
Near-Term: Support grass-roots efforts promoting youth sailing in western Long Island Sound.
Intermediate-Term: Recognize and support the 2028 Olympic ambitions of local sailors.
Long-Term: Help celebrate the centennial anniversary of high school sailing in 2030.
2026 ANNUAL Spring Fundraiser
May 29, 2026 is the date for our annual fundraising event at Indian Harbor Yacht Club. After a very successful re-launch last spring, the Foundation is looking to capture more of the same energy that made last year's event so successful.
